The most economical and ecological way of doing your laundry.
The modular system
In traditional heavy duty detergents, the detergent, softener and bleaching agent are all mixed into one component. If the components are separate from each other, as is the case with the Sonett modular washing system, the respective detergent may be used in ideal dosage, according to the local water hardness and the degree of soiling – this being the most economical and ecological way of doing your laundry.
Component 1
Concentrated Laundry Powder
Laundry Liquid Lavender
Laundry Liquid sensitive
Component 1 is the actual detergent. It neutralizes the surface tension of the water and makes certain that the dirt can be eliminated from the laundry.
Suitable for all textiles made from cotton, linen, hemp and fabric blends. The detergent may be used in ideal dosage, according to the local water hardness and the degree of soiling.
Suitable for all coloured and white textiles between 30 and 95 °C (100–200 °F). Suitable for HE washing machines. Unsuitable for wool, silk, and microfibres. For wool and silk please use Sonett Olive Laundry Liquid.
All laundry detergents are made from pure vegetable soap with coconut oil alcohol sulphate and sugar surfactant.
Component 2
Softener
Laundry detergents are most effective in soft water of low calcium carbonate content. Our softener binds the limescale dissolved in water, thus the washing substances can be fully effective. Only the really necessary amount of softener is being added to the laundry detergent, depending on the local water hardness thus protecting waters and environment alike.
After determining your local water hardness, add the actual amount of softener needed to the concentrated laundry powder (from water hardness medium upwards) and to the liquid detergent (in case of hard water). In that way the detergent develops its full cleansing power, the natural resources are protected and the water systems need not be unnecessarily abused.
Ingredients: zeolite, citrate, soda
Component 3
The bleaching agent is specifically used to remove stains in case of colour-fast laundry and to be added to white laundry to prevent its turning greyish. This makes white laundry retain its whiteness.
Being without any petrochemical bleaching agents, it is not active but from 50°C (122°F) upwards.
If the bleaching agent can act for longer, e.g. having the laundry soak overnight in the Bleach Complex, it is effective at as low as 30 °C.
Add the product regularly to white laundry. Very effective for removing spots and stains from colour-fast fabrics. During the washing process the sodium percarbonate is being broken down into oxygen – which has a bleaching effect – water and soda. Bleaching and degradation process are one and the same.
Ingredients: sodium percarbonate, soda
Water hardness and degree of soiling
You will find your local water hardness on your water bill or you may ask your local authority. We differentiate between water hardness ranges soft, medium and hard.
The amount of softener to be measured out depends on water hardness, the doses of the laundry liquid respectively powder, on the laundry’s degree of soiling. The manner of dosage, depending on water hardness and degree of soiling, may be found on the respective tables or instructions with our laundry detergents, the Sonett Softener and Bleach Complex.
